Goals:
In Health, students will become knowledgeable of building healthy relationships, building character, hygiene, body systems, alcohol, tobacco, and other drugs.
In Physical Education, students will learn the importance of nutrition and being physically fit.
Activities/Structures:
Students are required to perform various exercises to build strength. Students are initially tested to obtain data on their physical ability performing these exercises. At preplanned intervals, students are retested to track student progress. In addition to fitness training, students are exposed to basic boxing training.

Mastery of Skills:
If students master the content in Health/PE and maintain a consistent exercise routine, there will be several positive effects on their lives. For example, students will be more equipped to make healthy decisions regarding recreational use of alcohol and drugs. Exercising healthy decision-making when dealing with stressful situations is vital to becoming a functional adult.
Future Effects:
Physical Education helps give students an outlet to release energy. This is key to re-acclimating students with high absenteeism into a traditional school environment. In addition, this course provides students with opportunities to showcase their athletic ability. These opportunities help students establish confidence in themselves.
Most Important Skills to Learn:
The most important skills will be learning and implementing survival skills for the real world.
